TVEA Spotlight September 12, 2023
Good Evening Board and Staff,
WE have site leaders at each site! Currently members are more motivated to participate and share their voice in the TVEA Leadership Council. I am pleased that our organization encourages conversations within the membership and is not afraid to have tough discussions.
TVEA is out working in the community.
CHS is closing out CHS BTSN tomorrow and I’ll be there to support our teachers and staff and a great opportunity to make connections with parents.
I’ll also be there to support PTA. Earlier today I met with TVC PTA and they are pleased with their total PTA members across the district 3,193. BUT TVUSD we can do better! With 27,000 students plus that number should be closer to 10,000.
Teachers, parents you can join by searching JOINTOTEM Temecula Valley Council. Select a school and join!
I’ll be at CHS along with another member to recruit PTA members and 3 individuals to be the Executive Council at the site. If you are listening and want to help, reach out.
Yesterday Anastasia attended the Dollars for Scholars reception to once again provide support for scholarships for our TVUSD students. I hope TVUSD can commit the same.
We are partnering with Cycle for Hope to raise funds for Rancho Damacitas and Community Mission of Hope. We are working to raise the number of riders to increase the amount raised and provide opportunities for Temecula’s youth and community to volunteer for a good cause. We need volunteers to help along the route to make it successful. Search out Bike Temecula Valley and follow the Cycle for Hope link.
For the community there is a 15 mile course for families, a 25 mile and 50 mile for riders. It’s fun for the family and a great way to build community.
