TVEA’s leadership has been closely monitoring class size increases around the district and is working towards a fair cap on class size for K-3 and Grade 9 Algebra 1 and English classes. The Negotiations Committee is working on a Memo of Understanding that honors our contract yet addresses our current budget situation. Class size reduction funds from the state have been both reduced (K-3) and redesignated as flexible dollars (9th) (i.e. the money can be used for other purposes). More information coming soon! |
