One of the automatic benefits CTA members enjoy is free coverage under NEA/CTA Educators Employment Liability (EEL) Insurance. Coverage and limits of liability include the following:

EEL Coverage, featuring:
$1,000,000 per member per occurrence, excluding any civil rights issues or claims
$300,000 per member per occurrence for civil rights issues or claims (not to include any other claims)

There is an aggregate limit of $3,000,000 per occurrence for all claims.

Reimbursement of Attorney Fees for Defense of a Criminal Proceeding, featuring:
$35,000 per member criminal proceeding

Bail Bond, featuring:
$1,000 per bond

Assault-Related Personal Property Damage Coverage, featuring:
